2K Games has welcomed Ben Brinkman from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the development team at their internal studio, which is currently working on the upcoming third-person roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.
Management Transition Comes After Poor Reception
The new appointee takes on the leadership position at 31st Union following the dismissal of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to the game's underwhelming unveiling last autumn.
Recently, the company's top executive a key figure notified employees about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that playtesting had indicated the necessity for a clearer game identity.
Ismailer noted that the team is now reimagining Project Ethos with a revised focus, aiming to address community desires.

It has been motivating to see how far you’ve advanced. You accepted the feedback to consideration and overhauled Project ETHOS with a refreshed vision - one that’s positioned to fulfill its ambition to our fans.
