Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
